Two archive folders — one for each author — gather the audio files of the radio productions and their related documents.
British playwright, winner of the 2005 Nobel Prize in Literature. Father of «menace» in contemporary theatre: dialogues charged with silences, power and latent threat. His radio works — including A Slight Ache and The Dwarfs — are among the most intense of the twentieth-century radio repertoire.
Recordings made between 1989 and 1990 at the RAI regional studio in Trento. The recording that survives is part of a series of episodes on the anxieties of the 20th century, curated by Giovanni Battaglia, directed by Maria Serena Tait. Only episode 5 is presented here.
French writer and playwright, a scandalous and visionary figure of twentieth-century literature. Genet's theatre — The Maids, The Blacks, The Balcony — subverts rituals and social masks with a poetry that is at once fierce and sacred.
