Nothing to Be Done

«Nothing to Be Done» is the radio program produced for the RAI regional studio in Trento, dedicated to twentieth-century European avant-garde theatre. Two fundamental authors — Pinter and Genet — brought to the stage through voice and sound, in the medium best suited to the essentialness of the text: radio.

«Radio theatre is the place where the word becomes everything again.»

British playwright, winner of the 2005 Nobel Prize in Literature. Father of «menace» in contemporary theatre: dialogues charged with silences, power and latent threat. His radio works — including A Slight Ache and The Dwarfs — are among the most intense of the twentieth-century radio repertoire.
